Pack 170 Information Meeting in regard to new BSA National Policy

Posted on May 27 2013 - 10:48am

Dear Pack 170 Family,

Due to recent events within the National Boy Scout organization, political and value changing rulings have been made. These rulings effect all charter organizations and hit at the core values of Scouting. As Committee Chair, I would like to invite all parents of Pack 170 to have an open conversation and address any concerns or misconceptions (rumors) of policy interpretation.

2013 Cub Scout Summer Day Camp at Mike Woods Park

Posted on May 16 2013 - 11:44am

Looking for a fun summer camp for your scout?

This year, Norwela Council Cub Scouts will be leaping through time at each of the day camps. Scouts may explore the pre-historic age, leap forward to the 1300’s where it was always good to be a "knight in shining armor", fast forward to the 1700’s when the west was wild, have a jamming time in the 1900’s when sock hops and discos were the craze and race off to a neon future. Each of Norwela’s district day camps are unique and will be filled with all things past, present and future. We encourage each of our scouts to experience a camp outside of your district as well as inside your district.

Akela Family Camp and Health Forms

Posted on Sep 10 2012 - 5:52am

Hello everyone!

It is time to start thinking about Akela Family Camp.  It is a little more than a month away and I would like to have as many scouts as possible attend this camp.  It is a great way for the scouts to have fun, earn achievements towards their rank, and get to know other scouts from around the area.  The camp is Oct 19-21.  It promises to be a lot of fun!
